- No.

2. Is PRP injection similar to steroid or ozone injections or very costly hyalgan injections?
- No PRP injection is prepared from patients own blood. By a technique which consists of a multi level separation process of platelets.
PRP doesn't have the side effects of steroids like diabetes worsening, gastric ulcer, bone thinning etc.
Moreover, PRP utilizes the natural healing property of platelets, which various modifications at our clinic.
3. Is osteoarthritis similar to rheumatoid arthritis?
- No osteoarthritis is a natural wear and tears of the joints especially knees, spine, etc. due to old age, obesity, injury etc.
- But rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease, means there is a problem with the blood immune system, which attacks the own body. It is mainly seen in females, during 18 to 50 years. While osteoarthritis are mainly seen in elderly people, both males and females.
4. Can we completely cure osteoarthritis knee.
- since osteoarthritis is a natural wear and tear of the aging joints, we cannot completely cure osteoarthritis.
- But we can repair the injured joints through joint stabilization exercise, medications and PRP. We have to go for check up for time to time, at least for 4-6 months duration.
5. How long do we need to take the treatment for rheumatoid arthritis? Is it life long?
- Even though rheumatoid arthritis is a life long disease, we can control it during the first six months to one year of proper control. Once we control it, we can maintain the benefits through proper care and minimal medicine for few years.

6. What are the things to do if a patient has been given PRP inject for the knee?
- the patient has to stop doing all the exercises for at least one week. No hot fomentation or hot treatment should be applied. Avoid walking for long distance, climbing stairs, sqauting etc
Is chiropractic treatment ok for osteoarthritis knee or spine disc prolapse?
- it is not recommended. Spinal or knee problem needs proper understanding of the knee anatomy, function and the disease process. Only a doctor who is well versed and trained and understands all these can successfully treat these conditions.
Are there special care for those patients with spinal disc prolapse, with regards to the types of jobs, works or postures that they maintain in day to day activities?
- yes, there are rules to follow for jobs involving prolonged sitting, bending, lifting heavy weights, or standing.
